Who we are

Second Row, Inc. is the company behind Octav, a service designed to help adult musicians discover, organize, and prepare for local music Sessions around specific songs.

02

Information we collect

We may collect account and profile details you provide, including your name, contact details, Public Region, instruments, skill information, availability, and profile content.

When you use Octav, we may process Session, setlist, Slot, Application, attendance, recap, rating, trust, safety, and policy-acceptance information needed to operate the service.

We may also process technical information such as device, browser, network, diagnostic, security, and service-interaction data.

03

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Octav, authenticate users, support Profiles and Sessions, manage Applications and lineups, enable authorized preparation, send service communications, protect users, investigate reports, and maintain service security.

We may also use information to comply with law, enforce our policies, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

04

Location and private Session details

Octav separates a public approximate Region from a private exact Session address. Public surfaces may show the approximate Region needed for discovery.

A private exact address and private preparation details are intended to be available only to the Host and currently accepted Players through authorized Prep chat. Pending, waitlisted, declined, removed, and unrelated users are not granted that access.

05

How information is shared

We share information with other users only as needed for the Octav experience and according to the relevant role and Session state. Public profile and Session information may be visible to Guests or other users.

We may use service providers to host, secure, operate, communicate about, and support Octav. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction.

06

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain safety and integrity, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and service context.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

07

Your choices

You can update certain profile and notification settings through Octav where those controls are available. You may contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning your information.

We will handle applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection requests in accordance with applicable law, subject to identity verification and legitimate retention needs.

08

Adult-only service

Octav is intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the service to children.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Octav evolves. We will post the updated version here and identify its effective date and version.
